So why do we have a law about seat belts but nothing about helmets for motorcycles? Smoking kills more than not wearing seatbelts.

I believe it's because not wearing a seat belts puts all passengers in danger. (a 100#+ projectile bouncing around inside the vehicle, etc.) Not wearing a helmet or smoking only kills the fool who decides to do it. So maybe the seat belt law should only be enforced if you have a passenger...??

"So why do we have a law about seat belts"

So we'll have another law to break.

Yea or runners running in the street right beside the 6 foot wide concrete bike paths and sidewalks the progressives whined to get. They should be given a ticket. You hit one of them and it is your fault.
