The garage at 1913 E. 30th Street in Lawrence is boarded up, after police say a 19-year-old woman intentionally ran her vehicle through it and the rest of the home on Nov. 18.

Lawrence police say that a 19-year-old woman intentionally struck a home with her vehicle following an argument, though no injuries were reported.

A vehicle crashed into the garage of a single-family home about 9:10 a.m. Sunday in the 1900 block of East 30th Street, according to Lawrence Police Sgt. Trent McKinley.

The vehicle drove through several interior walls and "partially out the rear wall of the house," McKinley said.

The driver fled the scene but was found about one block from the crash. She was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for medical treatment, McKinley said.

There was extensive damage to the house and the vehicle.

McKinley said officers later discovered that the driver intentionally struck the home following an argument with someone in the home.

The woman was not arrested, but the case was forwarded to the Douglas County District Attorney's Office for possible charges.

She was late for church like any good Christian and got a little over excited.

LOL -- she must not be very good at fleeing -- - she tried to flee but was "found about one block from the crash".

Wonder if this was the same lady that wrecked her motorcycle a few days ago.

I live up the street from this and I am pretty upset that THIS is the only blurb on our lovely paper about this. Heard all the rumors going on about this....feel for the family that this happened to. Way to keep up on the local news LJWORLD.....freaking TOPS.....

What's there to report? The girl's name probably hasn't been released yet. She was either asleep or DUI. I don't need to know the family's name or their address because this is their business, not mine or yours.

DUI or asleep? The article says she intentionally drove her car through the garage.

I agree! I live right up the street and it was craziness.

---so ... authorities ... you're telling us ... you're leaving this wunderkind out on the road to keep driving, and to be free????? why wasn't she arrested? attempted murder? at least assault with a deadly weapon? for the love of Gawd!
I'm so happy knowing that she's out wandering around right now!
