New York The NBA has suspended Sacramento Kings forward Thomas Robinson for two games for elbowing Detroit’s Jonas Jerebko in the neck.
The play occurred with 10 minutes left in Sacramento’s 105-103 win on Wednesday night. Robinson, the fifth overall pick in this year’s draft out of Kansas University, was immediately ejected.
Robinson will miss the Kings’ games against San Antonio tonight and the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.
The league announced the suspension on Thursday. Robinson will be docked $82,308 in pay for the two games missed, according to the Sacramento Bee.

How surprising. It took 4 games for the NBA to do what Bill Self, the NCAA officials, and the Big 12 Conference refused to do, namely, sit this punk down and discipline him for being a elbow-throwing jerk off. Get used to reading this headline down the road.

I think we were watching entirely different KU basketball games. never saw him do anything like this at KU, except maybe once when the twins were still playing.

He deserved the ejection and suspension but this kid just plain plays hard, not dirty. He represented KU very well while on campus. Went to class, worked his butt off to be a 1st round pick, and dealt with personal tragedy we can't imagine. Take your medicine and move forward in a positive manner.

The NBA is much more physical than college. The guy Robinson elbowed was clearly fouling him (holding him to keep him from going for a rebound) but Robinson needs to learn to control himself since that's going to be a nearly daily occurrence.

Where did he learn how to play dirty like that?

T-Rob often seemed just on the brink of blowing his top when playing at KU. Whether it was Self or Danny or whoever, they kept him just under the wire (most of the time).

T Roble has always been a punk. Kudos for Self being able to keep him in line. He will learn he isn't such a bad *ss at the pro ranks.
