Church seeks help to mark anniversary
The Ninth Street Missionary Baptist Church, 847 Ohio St., will celebrate its 150th anniversary in March of next year, and those organizing the event are looking for any photos, stories and documents about the church, its members and its past.
Those wanting to contribute should contact Cynthia Lartigue Eubanks at 785-856-0797 or the church at 785-843-6472.
There will be a banquet March 16 at Alvamar Country Club, 1809 Crossgate Drive, and a celebratory church service March 17. Event organizers are also planning a three-day revival.
