Y'all are missing the obvious. How the hell did she get hurt "AFTER" the vehicle hit the pole? I figure the injuries occurred "WHEN" the pole was hit . . . Or the runnin' dude hurt her after he or she hit the pole. But waddoiknow . . .

They had entered a alternate universe inside their car and every song on the radio was a loop of "piano man" by Billy Joel. Every body walking down the street was whistling it. They flipped out when returning back. She didn't mind the song.

What likely happened was, they were being chased by pirates and one of them enchanted the pole to leap in front of the car. Save yourself, Jack, she cried, and Jack being ever obedient to her wishes did.

Perhaps the man fled the scene because he was not where others were told he would be.

Although it didn't say the woman was driving... makes you wonder why the man fled the scene. Was he driving and the female was a passenger?

Avoiding a dui? Outstanding warrants?
