Woman injured after vehicle strikes utility pole

May 22, 2012

The Lawrence Police Department responded to an injury accident in the 1300 block of West Sixth Street shortly after 6 a.m. Monday. Kim Murphree, a Lawrence police spokeswoman, said a car traveling westbound on Sixth Street struck a telephone pole. One woman was transported for her injuries, Murphree said, and another man reportedly fled from the scene.

Had she been wearing a helmet, I'm sure she wouldn't have been injured. Apparently, the dude, not wearing a helmet, struck his head and ran disoriented from the scene. Come on people, wear helmets!

Perhaps the man fled the scene because he was not where others were told he would be.

What likely happened was, they were being chased by pirates and one of them enchanted the pole to leap in front of the car. Save yourself, Jack, she cried, and Jack being ever obedient to her wishes did.

Y'all are missing the obvious. How the hell did she get hurt "AFTER" the vehicle hit the pole? I figure the injuries occurred "WHEN" the pole was hit . . . Or the runnin' dude hurt her after he or she hit the pole. But waddoiknow . . .
