Motorists should expect delays along stretches of Sixth Street west of Iowa beginning Monday.

City officials announced a project to repave Sixth Street between Iowa and Monterey Way is set to begin on Monday and last until early August.

Construction crews will keep one lane of traffic open in each direction through the duration of the project, but city officials are projecting traffic may move slowly along portions of the route.

In addition to the repaving, crews also will work to install right-turn lanes at the Sixth and Kasold intersection.

They should resurface 19th St, between Haskell and Iowa Streets, Bob Billings East bound from Kasold to Iowa street, and many more before 6th street.

Really 6th st down to one lane both ways? And with 23rd going to be down for a bridge replacement, how do they expect commuters to get though town?? I know we can take the non-existent SLT. Lol Ok I get it the city planner hates commuters.
