A house fire was reported at about 4:20 a.m. Saturday at 1730 Lake Alvamar Drive in Lawrence.
Police on the scene have confirmed that the house was evacuated and the fire is out, according to Journal-World news partner Operation 100.
The fire started in the home's basement. As of Saturday night, Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical officials did not know the cause of the fire or have an estimate of the damage cost and said the investigation was ongoing.
