Lawrence police subdue man with Taser in 23rd St. Dillons parking lot

Lawrence police officers used a Taser to subdue a man armed with a knife in the parking lot of Dillons, 1015 W. 23rd St. The incident started at about 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

Capt. Bill Cory said the man, a Lawrence resident, was believed to be suicidal. Police were able to get the knife away from the man and he was transported without injury to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
