Baylor baseball rocks KU in shutout
Waco, Texas ? Baylor rocked Kansas University starting pitcher Thomas Taylor for 12 hits and eight earned runs in five innings as BU baseball shut out KU, 9-0, on Saturday at Baylor Ballpark.
Max Muncy and Cal Towey did most of the damage for the Bears. Muncy belted two home runs, while Towey hit a triple and a homer. Baylor pitcher Trent Blank lived up to his name and shut out the Jayhawks for six innings, striking out eight.
KU had seven hits.
The Jayhawks (10-12 overall, 0-2 Big 12) take on the Bears (17-7, 5-0) again at 1:05 p.m. today.
