Kansas University sophomore Ka’iana Eldredge went 5-for-7 and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning as KU beat Southern Utah — which is coached by Eldredge’s father, David — on Wednesday at Hoglund Ballpark.

The second game of what was to be a doubleheader was canceled due to rain.

Kansas moved to 10-10.Southern Utah fell to 3-16.

Ka’iana Eldredge knocked a two-out pitch to right to score two runs in the ninth to force extra innings.
