Minneapolis ? The Kansas University baseball team split a doubleheader against Stony Brook on Friday at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.

Stony Brook shut out KU in the first game, 4-0, as Seawolves pitcher Tyler Johnson allowed just three hits in eight innings.

The Jayhawks came back and won the late game, 3-1, although it took 14 innings and a pair of freshmen to clinch the game for KU. Robert Kahana picked up the win with five scoreless innings as a reliever, while Conner McKay provided the offense with a two-run home run in the top of the 14th inning.

Kansas (7-7) will finish its trip to Minneapolis at 6:35 p.m. today against Minnesota at the Metrodome.
