Felony forgery, obstruction charges filed against Lawrence man

Douglas County prosecutors on Monday filed felony forgery and obstruction charges against a 21-year-old Lawrence man accused of writing checks at Dillons on an alleged stolen checkbook.

According to court records, a judge set bond at $30,000 Monday for Dylan Michael Siler. Lawrence police said employees at the store at 1015 W. 23rd St. reported a possible forgery on Sunday when Siler wrote two checks from a closed account, and police alleged Siler possessed a stolen checkbook. He also was booked into jail Sunday on four warrants for failing to appear in municipal and district court in other cases.
