Someone tried to get into the car of a man in the 1300 block of Massachusetts Street about 11:45 p.m. Saturday and then chased him on foot after he drove away.

The pursuer was yelling at the man for having his headlights on while the person was apparently going through trash in an alley. The driver called the police, but officers were not able to find or identify the pursuer, Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence Police spokesman, said.
