Police camp

To the editor:

Thank you to the Lawrence Police Department and Chief of Police Tarik Khatib for a great Police Camp 2012 held at Free State High School June 7-9. Each day, my son would come home with stories from camp that were better than the day before. Thank you to all of the volunteers who made this camp happen. The campers were hosted by individuals who are very caring. My son feels closer to the people who protect our community. Thank you Lawrence Police Department for a job very well done!
