The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration placed Douglas County under a severe thunderstorm watch at 7:50 p.m. today. Damaging winds, large hail and isolated storms could occur.

I didn't get a text or an email, and the general article didn't show up on the mobile site until sometime after 10.15. I think I've gotten texts for maybe half the watches we've had this spring.

I feel like they've been doing that all year. They are huge and then as soon as they get close to eastern ks they dissolve.

Yeah, I looked at the radar before I went to bed and saw the huge line of storms ... wasn't awoken by any heavy rain, wind, or lightning at all. Kind of sad :(
