Someone damaged and stole cash from four vending machines in Strong Hall some time last weekend, said Maj. Chris Keary, Kansas University assistant police chief.
Keary said the theft occurred between 9 a.m. Thursday and 7:50 a.m. Monday, when a Coca-Cola employee discovered the damaged machines in the basement of KU’s main administrative building. The suspect or suspects caused an estimated $750 total in damage to the four machines and took an estimated $500 in cash, Keary said.
