Gary Woodland moves up to 34th-place tie

? Former Kansas University golfer Gary Woodland moved up nine more spots during the final round Sunday to tie for 34th place at the British Open.

Woodland shot a 1-over 71 on Sunday, running his four-round total to 284 (4 over) to tie him with John Senden, Jim Furyk, Paul Lawrie and Keegan Bradley. Each earned $40,615.

Woodland partially offset two bogeys on the front nine with a birdie on No. 5 and made the turn at 1 over. He bogeyed No. 10 and birdied No. 11. He double-bogeyed No. 15, but eagled the par-4 No. 16 hole — his second eagle of the tournament, tying him for the tournament lead.

Woodland hit 65.3 percent of greens in regulation, compared to just 59.5 percent for the field and carded eight birdies during the event
