A 37-year-old Lawrence man went to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with at least two stab wounds around 9 p.m. Thursday night. Staff there then called the police.
Sgt. Craig Shanks said the stabbing was believed to be part of a domestic disturbance that occurred in the 1100 block of Tennessee Street earlier in the evening. He described the man’s wounds as serious but not life-threatening.
Police continued to look for a Lawrence woman who they believed was on the scene, though Shanks didn’t give a description of her and said she wasn’t being treated as a suspect.

I had resisted the urge to make a similar comment, but it is funny. Bet he has heard a lot of jokes over the name.

Stabbed in domestic disturbance. Is that anywhere near the heart? After all, they do say that the heart is where the home is.
Or was he stabbed "during" a domestic disturbance?

Domestic violence is a serious problem, one that should not be made fun of.
