Hearty "Congratulations!" to the kids, parents and educators who all share in this tremendous honor. The work involved, as well as the backing these kids get, are all unbelievable. Great job, Alyssa and Riley, and best wishes in your futures.

This honor is an indicator that we are doing some good things in Lawrence. But some of our greatest teachers who encouraged these kids toward excellence are no longer with us.

Please support gifted teachers.

We cannot accept mediocrity in our schools. We need talented teachers to help these kind of children achieve their potential. I believe that one day this kind of investment will benefit all of us.
