Raiders win two at Topeka tourney

? The Lawrence Raiders won two one-run games Saturday in the Golden Giants Round Robin Tournament at Topeka Seaman.

The Raiders defeated the Kansas Intimidators, 7-6, and the Midwest Bruins, 8-7.

Against the Intimidators, Aaron Waldeck singled home Aaron Gile with none out in the bottom of the seventh to give the Raiders the victory. Gile tripled to lead off the inning. Trent Johnson was the winning pitcher.

Against the Bruins, Troy Willoughby homered and earned the save, while Gile was the winning pitcher.

The Raiders (19-9) will conclude play in the tournament today.
