KU swimmers finish with Olympic Trials

? Brooke Brull, rising KU senior, finished the preliminaries of the 200 back with a time of 2:19.34 at the Olympic Trials on Saturday. Brull’s swim marked the end of KU swim performances at the Trials.

Brull placed 122nd overall and failed to advance to the semifinals.

Kansas had five current, former or future swimmers compete at the week-long event. The handful of KU caps in the pool made assistant coach Jen Fox proud.

“Just to get to this meet is a huge accomplishment,” she said. “There are so many people here so it is such an awesome experience for them.”

Molly Albrecht, a Free State High graduate and junior at Yale University, finished 149th Saturday in the 200 backstroke prelims. Albrecht, of Ad Astra Area Aquatics, finished in 2:21.13.
