Former Jayhawk Carrie Callen has been named an assistant coach for the Kansas University rowing team.

Callen comes from the University of Iowa where she served as an assistant coach of the rowing team for six years. The Garden City native was an assistant coach of the year nominee at Iowa, which is a consistent top 20 program. Callen was a member of the Jayhawk rowing team from 2002 to 2004.

In addition to assisting coach Rob Catloth, Callen will be the recruiting coordinator.
