25 years ago: ‘Goodtime Radio Revue” debuts at Liberty Hall

From the Lawrence Daily Journal-World for Jan. 26, 1987:

Rachel Hunter, KANU-FM’s assistant program director, spoke to the Journal-World today about the “KANU Goodtime Radio Revue” which was to launch its first show on the upcoming Saturday on the stage of Liberty Hall. The musical lineup was to include the Lawrence Woodwind Quintet, accompanied by pianist Jack Winerock; jazz trio Chuck Berg and Friends; pianist and guitarist Bill Crahan, singer/songwriter Deni McIntosh and the acoustic folk-rock group Bluestem. The players of the radio station’s Imagination Workshop would provide live-radio comedy during the show. Hunter, who had once worked on a weekly live radio show in western Kentucky, said that plans were to broadcast the new Revue live once a month, traveling to other locations but returning to Liberty Hall about every third month.
