Two Lawrence residents were taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after their cars collided at the intersection of Wakarusa Drive and Bob Billings Parkway at 6 p.m. Friday.

The intersection was closed for about an hour.

Otto Barteldes, 20, was transported by ambulance with nonlife-threatening injuries and Nanci MacMurray, 49, was taken by another vehicle, said Lawrence Police Sgt. Troy Squire.

Police believed MacMurray failed to yield while turning onto Bob Billings.
