FSHS fundraiser: A fundraiser for Free State High’s baseball and softball teams will be held 6-11 p.m. Jan. 28 at Alvamar Country Club. The adults-only fundraiser will include live and silent auctions and a trivia night. The funds raised will go toward the construction of new indoor batting cages that both teams will benefit from year-round.

Aquahawks clinic: The Lawrence Aquahawks and the Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center will host a “USA Olympic Swim Clinic” from 10 a.m.-noon on Jan. 29 at the Indoor Aquatic Center. Olympic gold medalists Josh Davis and Ian Crocker will be at the pool and in the water performing small-group personal instruction on champion performance and technique. Love 2 Run: The third-annual Love 2 Run-Lawrence will be held at 9 a.m. Feb. 11. The USATF Certified four-mile couples-themed run will start and finish at Free State High.
