Veritas boys win sixth straight game
Kansas City, Mo. ? Andrew Currier score 17 points, Elijah Penny added 14, and Veritas Christian stretched its boys basketball winning streak to six Tuesday night with a 49-40 victory over Northland Christian.
Eric Shin added eight points and hit five of six free throws late in the fourth quarter to help the Eagles preserve the victory.
Veritas (9-3) will play Friday at Derby Invasion Homeschool and Saturday at Wichita Sunrise.

Kansas City, Mo. — Veritas trailed 7-2 after the first quarter and failed to reach double digits by halftime, before pulling ahead in the third quarter.
Madi Bennett, who scored eight points, went down with a knee injury in the third period. The status of her injury was unknown as of Tuesday night.
Veritas (3-8) travels Friday to Derby to play against Derby Invasion at 6 p.m.
