Baldwin track coach given top award

The success of Baldwin High girls track under the watch of head coach Ted Zuzzio has earned the Bulldogs coach a national award.

Zuzzio learned this past week that he was chosen as the 2011 national coach of the year for girls outdoor track and field by the National Federation of State High School Associations Coaches Association.

The BHS girls track team won Class 4A state championships each of the past two seasons.

Z was my track coach and I can say he pushed us to do our best and was very supportive. One of my favorite coaches. Glad to hear he is recognized for his hard work.
