A 20-year-old Lawrence woman was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a car at 25th and Iowa streets Friday afternoon.

The woman was hit by a 64-year-old Lawrence resident as the driver turned left from 25th to Iowa. The driver and her passengers were not hurt, Lawrence Police Sgt. Troy Squire said. No citations were issued.
