A 21-year-old transient man was arrested on charges of aggravated burglary and possession of stolen property after breaking into a residence in the 1400 block of Coventry Manor on Sunday morning.

The resident of the home called police about 7 a.m. after she saw the suspect inside her home, according to Sgt. Kirk Fultz of the Lawrence Police Department. The suspect left the home without incident and was found nearby by police. Fultz said the suspect admitted to entering the home after police took him into custody.

The suspect was booked into the Douglas County Jail about 7:30 a.m.
