Seabury’s Hoag sets school record with 38 points

February 19, 2012

— Courtney Hoag scored a school-record 38 points Saturday to lead Bishop Seabury’s girls basketball team past Hyman Brand, 61-40.

Hoag, who also had 12 rebounds and five blocked shots, broke the record of teammate Alex Gaumer, who scored 34 points earlier this season.

Gaumer had 12 points Saturday in addition to eight rebounds, seven assists and six steals.

Padget Sutherland added six points for the Seahawks.

“They played great,” Seabury coach Becky Bridson said.

Seabury (9-7) will play at sub-state either Tuesday or Friday.
