Softball registration: Lawrence Girls Fast Pitch Softball Registration runs Feb. 1-April 2 for all age groups — 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U. The 8U Division-Machine Pitch teams will be formed by individual registrations from schools and grades. 8U players must be 8 years of age or younger on Jan. 1, 2012. Cost is $65 per child. Ad Astra’s Price eighth: Ad Astra Area Aquatics swimmer Katie Price finished eighth in the 200 breaststroke this past weekend at the Missouri Grand Prix in Columbia, Mo. The meet featured more than 650 swimmers, and Price’s 2:33.83 time in the 200 breast was a personal best. Price also set a personal record of 1:11.98 with her 11th-place finish in the 100 breaststroke. Both of her swims were below Olympic Trial cut times. AAAA swimmers Carrah Haley and Eric Sparks also competed at the meet.
