An 18-year-old Derby man was involved in a one-vehicle accident in the eastbound lane of the Kansas Turnpike at 2:20 a.m. Sunday.

The driver lost control of his vehicle and struck a median wall near mile marker 211, east of Lawrence. He was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital and was released later Sunday morning.
