Alot of press has been devoted to the Hwy 10 corridor and it's almost bizarre amount of accidents---many deadly, but Hwy 40 from about between KCK and even all the to Lawrence has certainly had it's fair share of accidents---again, many deadly. T-boning being the worst while crossing over 40's many crossovers. My dog groomer's daughter is damn lucky to be alive after a violent t-boning. She was told to use the light at 155th according to my groomer, but chose to cross at 158th and got nailed. She was not allowed to drive for a year, and amazingly, got away with just minor injuries.

Considering the large number of unfortunate events such as this that have recently occurred, it appears that there may be permutations in the gravitational field that we have heretofore relied upon to keep our vehicles in the correct orientation relative to the center of the earth.
