A cyclist was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after he was struck by a car turning from Iowa Street onto 15th Street at about 6 p.m. Friday, said Lawrence police Sgt. Craig Shanks.

The cyclist’s injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening and minor. Shanks said it was likely the cyclist was at fault but no citations had been issued as of Friday night.

Naturally the cyclist is at fault. They're always at fault aren't they? The driver couldn't have been texting, talking on the phone or just generally not paying attention, right? Mr. Garrison let's not make assumptions until we have all the facts,OK?

Yeah come on dude, read the story. That was said by the police Sgt. And maybe they believe that because they did some of that fancy investigation stuff they like to do?
