U.S. Bank, on 900 Mass. St., had an alarm malfunction Saturday Morning causing the bank's alarm to to go off continuously. The Lawrence Fire Department was unable to disable the alarm and the alarm continued sounding until U.S. Bank was able to get the alarm shut off in the afternoon.

For a malfunction?

If a car breaks down, fine them as well? If someone has a heart attack on a public sidewalk, cite them for loitering?

If lunacy is detected, fine them as well?

if the fire department has to respond too many times, they can fine them.

I thought it was still going off about 3:00 when the Alfred Packer Band was playing.

I mean, could nobody cut the wires going to the speaker? Just for the sake of everybody's sanity.

Fellow Packer Band member Matt Kirby threw a blanket over it at around 2:45 p.m. which quieted it a little. Then about halfway through the Alferd Packer Band set, around 3:30, it was finally silenced - 6 hours later.
