Road and bridge work to create traffic delays on K-10 in Johnson County

Repair work on the Mill Creek Bridge on westbound Kansas Highway 10 will reduce traffic to one lane in the area beginning on Sept. 10, the Kansas Department of Transportation announced Friday.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane around the clock throughout the project’s duration, and a 60 mph speed limit will be posted.

The road will be reduced to one lane approximately a half-mile on either side of the bridge in Johnson County.

Also, beginning on Sept. 10, the Ridgeview Road to westbound K-10 entrance ramp will be closed and remain closed until the work is finished. Drivers should expect delays in the area, especially during morning and evening rush hours, KDOT officials said.
