LCC pro Kristen Samp ties for third at tournament

Kristen Samp, teaching pro at Lawrence Country Club, tied for third place in the 54-hole Teaching and Club Pro national championship that was played Monday through Wednesday at the Donald Ross Course at French Lick in French Lick, Ind.

Samp shot 72-76-76 and finished six strokes behind winner and LPGA tour veteran Jean Bartholomew of Garden City, N.Y.
