Why weren't any parents notified of this?

This really pissed me off, we didn't find out till our kids came home and a note was sent, they spent 40 min's seating on the playground and couldn't even play. I have two kids there, don't like principal Anderson at all, should be in a high school, not friendly at all. They should of told parents in case they thought it was best for there children not to be there for safety reasons. the principal shows a lack of care for our kids, and talking to other parents I'm not the only one who feels this way. Miss our old one, lets just swich them out. All she could do was bitch about how the news had no right to be there and should of had better things to do, what kind of principal says that. They were outside for 40 min's and had time to call families. Some parents told me how upset they were to watch it on the news before they were even told. I know I would sue the school if my children get health problems due to this.
