Fans of Hallmark movies know that a hard-driven female corporate executive is always due for a life change. In the case of “Smart Cookies” (8 p.m. Saturday), real estate whiz Julie Sterling (Jessalyn Gilsig, “Glee”) salivates at the prospect of a big corporate promotion, a passion that doesn’t leave time for romantic entanglements. But when her firm decides it needs to polish its image with charitable good works, Julie is assigned to help a hopeless Girl Scout troop. She is not amused.

As this is a Hallmark movie, we don’t have to worry whether she’ll save the troop, connect with some needy lasses, learn to smell the roses or meet Mr. Right (Ty Olsson, “Battlestar Galactica”). It’s merely a matter of discovering the order of her insight and the brief complications that ensue. Not to mention how many boxes of Thin Mints she can sell.

Cult choice

A journalist (David Janssen) has his mind changed about Vietnam in the 1968 drama “The Green Berets” (7 p.m. Saturday, Military). John Wayne, who also stars, thought this movie could build support for that war. Jim Hutton and Aldo Ray co-star.
