Four Veritas Christian basketball players were named to the 2011-12 Kansas Christian Athletic Association’s all-state teams.

Senior Elijah Penny, who helped the Veritas boys finish third at the KCAA state tournament and averaged 14.1 points and 7.0 rebounds, was named to the first team.

His junior teammates Thomas Bachert (8.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 66 blocks) and Andrew Currier (8.5 points) were named honorable mention, as was Veritas girls senior Ellen Phillips (8.8 points, 8.0 rebounds).
