Douglas County prosecutors have charged a 30-year-old Kansas City, Mo., man in connection with the March 23 robbery of a woman in Lawrence.

According to jail records, the man, Jacob Paul Forbes, was brought to the Douglas County Jail Thursday on a warrant from Kansas City to face the local charge.

He was charged with one count of aggravated robbery in connection a report a 24-year-old Lawrence woman made around noon March 28 alleging she was robbed of a 15-inch silver MacBook pro laptop computer, valued at $2,500. The robbery occurred in the 2100 block of Rhode Island Street, according to a police report. The woman had minor injuries.

Forbes posted $15,000 bond Thursday afternoon and was given notice to appear in court May 9.
