Baylor sweeps Kansas softball

? Two big innings carried Baylor to a softball doubleheader sweep of Kansas University on Friday at Getterman Stadium.

The Bears, ranked as high as 22nd nationally, used a three-run sixth to claim a 3-0 victory in the opener, then banged two home runs in a four-run fourth in a 6-1 victory in the nightcap.

In the opener, KU freshman Alicia Pille threw five scoreless innings before the Bears (26-12 overall, 3-6 Big 12) strung together a solo home run, a wild pitch and an RBI single. Pille (11-6) struck out six and walked just one and allowed six hits for the Jayhawks (23-12, 2-9).

In the nightcap, Maggie Hull homered in the fourth to give KU a 1-0 lead.
