A 66-year-old Topeka woman reported $8,000 worth of damage to her 2006 Honda Accord in the 800 block of Massachusetts Street between 7 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

She should have been smarter about it, and everyone was warned significantly ahead of time. However it should not have happened and is very unfortunate...I'm sure insurance will cover it, but she's still going to have to fork out a deductible. Hope there wasn't any other significant damage downtown.

How were they warned jhawks [I have not heard of this] ? Not everybody knows everything about sporting events and possible repercussions of where they park a car.

Seriously, who parks their car on Mass. while the Hawks are in the Final Four? You're asking for damage to your car. Drunks do stupid stuff and law enforcement can't babysit all of them.
