Four KU students receive Goldwater scholarships

Four Kansas University students have earned Barry M. Goldwater Scholarships, awarded for academic merit in mathematics, science and engineering.

With these four winners included, KU students have earned 53 total Goldwater scholarships since the program was established in 1986.

This year’s winners from KU are: Theodore Edward Christensen IV, a sophomore biochemistry major from Topeka; Jeremy Hopper Ims, a junior physics, mathematics and astronomy major from Overland Park; Rodi M. Torres-Gavosto, a junior chemistry major from Lawrence; and Brittany Nicole Krutty, a junior physics major from Olathe.
