Shawnee — Class 4A Tonganoxie didn’t have a chance in a loss to Class 5A Mill Valley (3-0), committing four turnovers.
Mill Valley jumped out to 21-0 halftime lead, scoring twice off turnovers. Mill Valley junior Staton Rebeck scored three third-quarter touchdowns and put Tonganoxie (1-2) in a 42-8 hole entering the fourth quarter.
Next week, Mill Valley travels to Bishop Ward, and Tonganoxie hosts Turner.
