KU men plagued by bogeys at Colorado

? Kansas University golfer Alex Gutesha finished in 15th place with a 69 and 74 in two rounds at the Mark Simpson Invitational on Monday.

Gutesha shot a team-low 1-under 143 as the Kansas men’s team shot a two-round score of 586 and finished the day in ninth place out of 15 teams.

Kansas coach Kit Grove said he saw some good things from the team but that his golfers need to cut down on mistakes.

“We had four or five double bogeys for the day and one triple bogey. That’s just unforced, and we need to get better at that,” Grove said.

Kansas will play the third and final round at 9 a.m. today.
