Free State High varsity football coach Bob Lisher confirmed Thursday night that a freshman football player from Olathe South High was taken to the hospital after being injured during the Free State freshman team’s season opener against the Falcons on Thursday at FSHS.

Lisher said he believed the young man was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure after exhibiting possible signs of a concussion.
