Monica Pezzotti and Paulina Los made it to the semifinals of Doubles Draw A Friday on the first day of the KU Tennis Invitational at the Jayhawk Tennis Center. Kansas went 4-0 in doubles competition and 3-3 in singles matches.

Victoria Khanevskaya and Amy Barnthouse also won both of their doubles matches in Round Robin Doubles.

In singles, Los defeated Abilene Christian’s Brittney Reed, 6-3, 2-6, 7-6, to advance in Singles Draw B. Barnthouse routed Loprizini in singles competition as well, winning 6-0, 6-1, in Singles Draw E. Freshman Karen Hernandez won an ITA-sanctioned match outside of the draws against Abilene Christian’s Felicity Delgado, 6-0, 6-1.

The tournament continues Saturday.
