Baldwin rolls over Santa Fe Trail, 42-28
Carbondale — Baldwin responded to an early Santa Fe Trail touchdown with 28 unanswered points en route to a 42-28 football victory Friday, locking up a Class 4A playoff berth.
The Bulldogs led 42-12 in the fourth quarter before their defense gave up two late scores. The win sets up a match-up against Eudora for the district title Thursday.
Tyler Cawley led BHS with a pair of rushing scores and a passing touchdown.
Eudora 37, Ottawa 14
Ottawa — Chris Pyle rushed for 416 yards on 42 carries for Eudora, an individual team-high for rushing this season.
Pyle started the scoring with an 82-yard touchdown run as Eudora (7-1, 2-0) built a 22-0 first-quarter lead.
Perry-Lecompton 56, Jefferson West 28
Meriden — Luke Kellum accounted for nearly half of Perry-Lecompton’s total offense of 596 yards, rushing for 291 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries.
Perry-Lecompton quarterback Jeremy Immenschuh accounted for five touchdowns, rushing for three on 162 yards and passing for two.
