One person was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after an injury accident at Ninth and Ohio streets just before 10 p.m.

The injured man was on a mo-ped, headed east-bound on Ninth Street when a dark-colored sedan turned south on Ohio Street, striking the mo-ped driver. The sedan fled the scene.

Sgt. Troy Squire said the injuries were believed to be nonlife-threatening. Anyone with information regarding the driver of the sedan is asked to call the Lawrence Police Department at 832-7509.
